Caring Crowns is a volunteer organization that has been a labor of love for Ashley Jones since early in 2006. We are our own organization and not affiliated with any pageant system - all queens are welcome to join, no matter what pageant system they represent. Caring Crowns is not just one service project; it is an organization that continually provides help to various organizations in need. We work with a different organization each month, such as Relay for Life or March of Dimes. Ashley's goal is for the girls to get exposure to helping with various causes and events, not just one.
Our organization, Caring Crowns, Inc., is legally recognized by the state of Georgia as a nonprofit corporation, and Ashley Jones is legally listed with the state of Georgia as the Founder and CEO of said organization. We filed articles of incorporation with the Georgia Secretary of State's office, which were approved, and we were then granted an official legal certificate of incorporation, signed by Georgia Secretary of State Karen Handel. We also submitted our registration of "Caring Crowns" as an official "service mark" with the state of Georgia. (This is the equivalent of a copyright or a trademark, except it protects services instead of goods.)
We are also in the process of getting approved as a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt charitable organization. This means that any donations to Caring Crowns will be tax-deductible once this process is complete. As our website clearly states on the opening page, "Caring Crowns is NOT affiliated with any one pageant system - queens from ALL systems are welcome to join." We want girls of all ages to be able to experience the joy of helping and giving back to their community, no matter where they obtained their titles.
